HALO Sterilizing-Grade Disc Filters

  •

The HALO series of sterilizing-grade disc filters by Feature-Tec are divided into three subcategories: HALOD, HALOP, and HALOS.
HALOD and HALOP filters use modified polyethersulfone (PES) membranes, which provide excellent hydrophilicity and low protein adsorption. HALOS filters utilize a naturally hydrophobic polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) membrane.
The HALO series sterilizing-grade disc filters can meet the needs of small-scale research, specific pilot-scale requirements, and even production-level filtration under certain conditions.

    Features:

    HALOD、HALOP:
    • Reliable bacterial retention capability.
    • Wide chemical compatibility (pH 1-14).
    • Unique dual-layer membrane design increases throughput.
    • Robust structure that withstands multiple sterilizations

    HALOS:
    • Naturally strong hydrophobicity.
    • High-temperature and high-pressure resistance.
    • Capable of multiple sterilizations.
    • Reliable bacteria and particle retention.
    • High flow rates with low-pressure drops.

    Typical applications:

    HALOD、HALOP:
    • Sterilizing filtration of cell culture media.
    • Buffer filtration.
    • Pre-column or pre-ultrafiltration protection.
    • Terminal product sterilizing filtration.

    HALOS:
    • Sterilizing filtration of air in tanks/fermenters.
    • Filtration of compressed gases such as air, oxygen, and nitrogen.
