Filter coalescers are used to remove liquid and solid particles from gas phase. Filter coalescers consist of 2-stage separation process. The first stage removes bulk liquid and larger solid particles. The second stage consists of filter elements for finer liquid/solid removal. Filter coalescers can be installed in both horizontal and vertical vessel orientation. They are widely used in chemical, petrochemical, refineries and other gas processing plants. Filter coalescers can be equipped with quick opening closure for easy removal and replacement of filter elements.
Filter coalescers are designed in accordance with ASME VIII Div.1
Stamped vessels are avaible upon request.
Principle of Operation：
When the gas enters the vessel, the bulk liquid and the larger solid particles will be removed by knockout baffle, vane pack, or cyclones. The finer liquid and solid particles will travel into the second stage of removal by filter elements. The finer liquid droplets will impact onto the elements forming larger droplets and drain to the bottom. The finer solid particles will be trapped within the filter elements leaving the cleaned gas exits the vessel.
Separation Efficeincy：
Filter coalescers are capable to remove 98 of liquid particles of 0.3 microns and larger.

Applications：
Filter coalescers are widely used in chemical, petrochemical and general industries where removal of liquid and unwanted solid contaminants from the gas stream for various applications such as protection of turbines, gas compressors, instrumentation like valve, meters, analyzers, regulators, gauges and efficient recovery of entrained solvents and hydrocarbon liquids.
