Wire-meshs or Meshpads are used to separate liquid from gas phase. Wire Mesh mist extractors are made by knitting wires into tightly packed layers which are stacked together to achieve the required efficiency.They are installed horizontally in vessels with gas stream flowing vertically upwards through the pad and vice versa. Meshpads can be installed in both vertical and horizontal vessels. It is however, not recommended for dirty services as plugging may happen causing the reduction in separation efficiency.
MeshPads/Wiremesh Separators are design in accordance with ASME VIII Div.1

Principle of Operation：
Meshpads removes liquid droplets by impingement of droplets onto the wire by coalescing them into larger droplets. These larger and heavier droplets will subsequently disengage and drop to the bottom leaving drier gas moving out of the vessel.
Separation Efficeincy：
Meshpads are capable to remove 99-99.5% of 2 micron droplets.
Applications：
Meahpads are widely used in chemical and petrochemical industries where removal of liquids from the gas stream is required like condensate, lubricant oil, recovery of product for pollutant control etc.
